Predators that live in cold climates are usually protected from the cold by layers of fur, feathers or fat. The main marine predator in the Antarctica is the Killer Whale, also known as the Orca, despite it's name, the Killer Whale is not actually a whale but in fact the largest member of the Dolphine family. The Killer Whale eats Penguins, birds, other whales and even the odd seal. The main marine predator in the Arctic is the Polar Bear. The Polar Bears main prey is the Arctic seal. Polar Bears also attack Bearded seals, Harp seals, young Wlarus, Narwhale, Fish, Seabirds and their eggs. Like all Bears they would usually forage for food if near humans.
